There is an emphasis on the organic in my work,
both in process and in product. While building it I rely most heavily on texture, movement and scale. I want to create images that are capturing a moment in a timeless and infinite space.
I dont provide observers with ‘a statement’ in my imagery, but more of a question. Do you see the work as being the enlargement of the microscopic, or as being enormous and vast? Similarly, is it a representation that is evolving and growing, or do you interpret it as deconstructing or decaying? My goal is that it is visually captivating enough for the observer to see these questions and linger with it long enough to find their own answers. Ultimately, more like music you love and listen to over and over - rather than a book you probably read only once, I want the pieces to be provocative enough that the eye must continually return to them.
words stand out.
